The Charge Lance is a long-range weapon with low warm-up, high accuracy, and high damage.

Combat Peformance

It deals more damage than the sniper rifle both per shot and in total DPS, but has a shorter range of 37 tiles compared to the rifle's 45. It is also slightly less accurate at its farthest ranges but considerably more accurate at shorter ranges. The Charge Lance makes for an immensely powerful weapon that is able to frequently blow off unarmored limbs and destroy body parts with a single shot. Any creature with a brain, heart, or spine should fear this weapon.

However as with the other single-shot high power weapons it is both skill dependent and requires the user to be able to keep at a comfortable distance, though it can handle itself a bit better at short range compared to the Bolt-action rifle and Sniper rifle. Due to it being a single shot weapon, its overall DPS is actually quite low which makes it a poor choice against high health enemies than can survive being struck such as Centipedes and man-hunting large predators. It is best paired with allies who can protect against enemy Brawlers and from a healthy distance of 12 to 25 tiles.
