(Rename necessary for wiki mechanics to properly refer to the item. Added some extra info to the infobox. It may be worth splitting hemogen information onto genes/sanguo/a dedicated page and having this have only its specific info (e.g. similar split to psycasts and psytrainer) but not super important now.)

Hemogen is a form of blood that must be drank by Sanguophages and other pawns with the Hemogenic gene, it can be stored in hemogen packs or eaten directly from human.

Acquisition

Hemogen packs can be extracted from non-hemogenic humans with the Extract Hemogen[?] operation. This increases their blood loss by 45%; if blood loss exceeds 100%, then the pawn will die.

Summary

Hemogen is a packaged form of blood; it can be installed onto any pawn, reversing 45% of blood loss.

Hemogen packs can be consumed by Hemogenic pawns, satiatsifying the Hemogen need by +20 per package. This is worth 2 days of blood for pawns with the Hemogen Drain gene (including Sanguophages), and 10 days for those who just have Hemogenic. Any pawn - including those without a Hemogen need - can consume one for a measily 0.10 nutrition, without a mood penalty.

Hemogen packs do not rot, only deteriorate by being left outdoors or in otherwise rough conditions.
