Bionics may refer to one of several different body part replacements of the name, and that require the Bionic replacement research project:

They are superior to normal body parts, and provide a bridge between the inferior-to-natural prosthetics and the superior but uncraftable archotech parts. Not all body parts are represented in every tier.

Bionics is also used informally to refer to artificial body parts generally, but is not used as such in-game.
