Acquisition

Deathpall can be triggered by performing the Void Acquisition ritual, or as a random entity spawn. Unlike Grey Pall, its arrival is signified by a red event box.

Summary

Deathpall will fall over the land for around 1-2 days, and ressurect any corpses which are not under a roof as Shamblers. This includes corpses that have already risen as Shamblers and have died due to hunger. Corpses will only not rise from the dead during a Deathpall if they are burnt or destroyed.

Analysis

The only threat Deathpall serves to your colony is the creation of shamblers, in the form of humanoid corpses but also animal corpses. Megasloths, Timberwolves, and other dangerous animals can be bought back to the dead if left outdoors. It is best to butcher or burn corpses which are laying around outdoors, in order to prevent any accidental shambler creation.

An alternate tactic could be to leave corpses outside of your base, in order for them to rise during the Deathpall and attack your enemies.
