The type defName accepts any string value.
Vanilla RimWorld has the following bodyPartGroups defNames:

UpperHead Cowboy Hat, Military Helmet, Tuque, ...



As long as two pieces of apparel aren't on the same layer and aren't covering the same bodyPartGroup, it's possible to wear them together on a pawn.
