RimWorld makes use of a handful of different resources. Resources have to be hauled to the stockpile area in order to be used anywhere in your base.

Current available resources are listed below. Template:Clr

Money

Money Icon.png

Money is only used for trading. You get money when you sell other resources, weapons or people as slaves, and you can spend money to buy other resources, weapons and slaves to become new colonists.

There is no maximum limit to the amount of money, but traders always have a limited budget. Template:Clr

Raw food

Raw food is used by colonists to survive, either directly when starving, or via the nutrient paste dispenser when available to eat meals. Raw food is extracted from plants, either wild plants when there no growing going on, potato plants grown in the growing area, or accele-potato plants grown on a hydroponics table.

Metal

Metal is the only construction resource needed to build structures and buildings. It is extracted from mining mineral tiles and unlike raw food, doesn't need any refining process to be used once it has been hauled to the stockpile area.

Uranium

Supposed to be used in reactors.

(Build 254) Uranium has no use yet in RimWorld.
Uranium can only be traded for profit. Template:Clr

Medikits

Supposed to be used to heal colonists.

(Build 254) Medikits have no use yet in RimWorld.
Medikits can only be traded for profit. Template:Clr

Shells

Supposed to be fired by cannons.

(Build 213) Shells have no use yet in RimWorld.
Shells can only be traded for profit. Template:Clr

Missiles

Missile Icon.png

Supposed to be fired by missile launchers.
