RimWorld makes use of a handful of different resources. Resources have to be hauled to the stockpile area in order to be used anywhere in your base.

Current available resources are listed below. Template:Clr

Silver

Silver

Silver is only used for trading. You get it when you sell other resources, weapons or people as slaves, and you can spend silver to buy other resources, weapons and slaves to become new colonists.

There is no maximum limit to the amount of silver, but traders always have a limited budget. Template:Clr

Metal

Steel

Metal is the only construction resource needed to build structures, buildings and furniture. It is extracted from mining mineral tiles and unlike raw food, doesn't need any refining process to be used once it has been hauled to the stockpile area.

Metal can be traded. Template:Clr

Stone

Stone

Template:Clr Stone is produced from rock rubble that is crafted on a stonecutter's table. Right click the table, click 'Bills' and use the + and - buttons to set how many times you want stone blocks to be crafted. You must have a colonist selected to perform 'crafting' in the Overview menu.
