I don't usually do welcome messages but I literally just saw your post on Reddit and then saw you were a new user. I'm glad they suggested you come here. I hope you will add your findings as they'd significantly improve those pages.

If there's anything I can do to help, feel free to shoot me a message at my Talk Page or leave it here.

Hello again. I just updated the page on the hand talon and wanted some feedback before I move onto elbow blades, venom talons, and venom fangs. I was surprised to see the page on knee spikes is actually pretty fleshed out, might make some minor edits to it but nothing significant. Any improvements I can add, or errors I made, so I can fix them/don't carry them over to the rest of the pages.

I'll also post this same question to the discord to see of they have any further insights.

The edit looks fantastic. There are/were some minor issues -

  • General labor speed and Global Work Speed are related but different things so I'm not sure which you intended to link to.
  • Its probably relevant to note that a hand talon is only used on one arm, so you can use 1 bionic arm and 1 hand talon, or 1 archotech leg and 1 knee spike
  • When comparing weapons, usually its fine to not mention quality because you can assume "of the same quality", however as implants don't have quality I'd suggest adding "compared to a X quality steel longsword"
  • Manipulation does improve Melee Hit Chance so I changed "dedicated fighter" to "dedicated gunfighter" just to be clear. I know you've made the point above that dedicated melee weapons are better for melee pawns, but we don't want someone using implant weapons over bionics for their melee pawn because they think it can't hurt. A clearer statement that bionics do help melee pawns might be better.

I made some a minor edit that addresses some of that but have a look and feel free to revert any of those changes. Also if you'd like to use any images, you can upload files from the left hand side bar. Though I think the article stands on its own now.

Overall, it looks great and its ready to be applied to other pages.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to correct/clarify what you mentioned. Also, someone on reddit mentioned that I should add in the winrate tables you see for normal weapons, comparing the implant to other implants and conventional weapons. This won't happen for a while as I don't have the appropriate data right now, but I just want to know if there is any convention on formatting the tables as well as the colours used.

Final question, is it okay to copy and paste what I wrote for the hand talon and put it on other relevant pages. As an example the capabilities, pros, and cons of the elbow blade are extremely similar to that of the hand talon and so a lot of similar/identical statements can be made.

Harakoni (talkcontribs)

I'd just copy the formatting of the tables that already exist, like Here but if you find a different format that you think works better feel free to use it. Information > Page conformity.

Though, if you do add a win-rate table, please make a note of the version number (i think its 1.2.2753 atm). Its hard to know when direct comparisons like that become outdated - stats for the longsword may change in a future update and invalidate the testing but without a number to know when it was done, its hard to find out. I think some of the other winrate tables already on the wiki are already outdated.

And yes, absolutely feel free to copy and paste what you've already written, a lot of pages are largely similar for the same reason, just so long as its still correct for the new page.

Thanks for all the help, I greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

I'll try to figure things out on my own first as I've never done anything like this before, but if I need help I'll be sure to ask.
