Thump cannon

Thump cannon

A breaching explosive launcher used by mechanoids. It fires a concussion bomb that is extremely effective against walls and structures, but does much less damage to small targets.

The thump cannon is an unobtainable mechanoid weapon, used only by the termite mechanoid, although it can be acquired through dev mode. Thump cannons do Thump damage which has a 15x damage multiplier to buildings, a 4x multiplier against plants. Furthermore, Walls have a further 4x multiplier when taking Thump damage resulting in a 60x multiplier, or 540 damage to walls. Thus while only moderately damaging to living targets they do massive damage to buildings and walls. A single shot can destroy 3-tile wide stretch of granite wall, and only two are required to breach plasteel. The thump cannon can down unarmored pawns in five hits on average, and most often kill from brain damage.

For the purposes of armor calculation, thump cannons are considered Sharp damage
