While cryosleep would make more sense than cryptosleep, the in-game structure is named "Ship cryptosleep pod". I believe when you start the game, it is referred to as "cryptosleep sarcophagi". Perhaps crypt refers to the similarities between the pod and a sarcophagus in a tomb.
