A '''smashed stump''' is what remains after a [[tree]] has been destroyed by [[damage]]. It blocks planting a new tree until it's removed. For the necessary {{Ticks|{{P|Harvest Work}} }} of work it yields only comparably few {{P|Harvest Yield}} {{Icon Small|{{P|Harvest Product}} }}. Also it provides only relatively low {{%|{{P|Cover Effectiveness}} }} [[cover]]. Harvesting smashed stumps for wood does not cause a mood debuff for pawns with the tree cutting: prohibited precept. 

Despite not growing, it has growdays and lifespanDaysPerGrowDays values set. It is unclear what effect, if any, this has.
