Editing RimWorld Wiki:Admin noticeboard

I'll de-virgin this page with thoughts for the future, as this place is more fitting, I think, than the community portal's talk page. The idea is that more people can participate.

Initially I outlined some ideas [[RimWorld_Wiki_talk:Community_portal#Thoughts_for_the_future_.28frontpage.2C_templates.2C_SMW.29|here]]. This is a colossal task, and I may be biting over more than I can chew (I have a real life too), but let's try. So far I've worked on a skin frontpage and re-design, going to a dark-themed version instead. It resides in my user-CSS for now, so for better or worse, others can't see it unless you copy that CSS to your own user. [https://i.imgur.com/0lbp5kR.png Here] is the most recent screenshot of what it looks like, though this only shows the frontpage of course (which probably needs changing further). There is still more to do, as not everything looks right. I had forgotten how incredibly many selectors and small details needed changing.

-There are quite a few [[:Category:Pages that are obsolete|obsoleted pages]] scattered around the wiki. Are these something we ought to keep, or would it be fine to delete them? Part of the reason I ask is that Cargo will store everything in an infobox (once they're all updated), so if we are to keep these pages then I must bake in some handling of it in templates. Otherwise these obsolete items and so forth will show up in queries, which we don't want. From the deletion log from way back when, it looks like some other outdated pages were deleted, but I'd like to hear from others what to do about them. Likewise there are probably a lot of pictures that can be deleted as well if we decide to clean it up and only keep the currently relevant pages for items, creatures etc that exist in the game as of 1.0.
