Plasteel can be used to make some very tough defensive turrets and walls, so consider setting some aside to shore up your frontline against raiders.

Compacted plasteel comes in veins of 10 up to a possible 50. Each mined block yields 35 plasteel. Each chunk of ore has 10,000 HP, making it the slowest ore to mine and the toughest item in-game.
