== Summary ==
When connected to a [[school desk]], each blackboard increases a student's Learning rate from [[Children#Learning Tasks|''Lesson Learning'']] by 20%. This effect can stack up to three times per desk. A blackboard can connect to multiple desks. It does not matter which way the blackboard is facing.

It is unknown if blackboards increase [[skill]] XP gain from learning with an adult.{{Check Tag|Verify}}

== Analysis ==
If you have a [[comms console]] and a means of going outside, then blackboards are technically unnecessary. Children can still reach growth tier 8 without blackboards attached to their school desk, so long as the other learning types are available. However, these buildings still increase average growth points. Therefore, blackboards will make up for extended periods of non-Learning, such as when resting from [[disease]]. And, because they are so cheap, you might as well build them.
