Once heatstroke severity reaches around 70%, or if there were no conscious pawns in the first place, deconstruct the walls so that the room is considered "Outside". This stops heatstroke and helps slow fire spread. You can then strip and capture the ancients as you please. [[Firefoam pop pack]]s, if available, are recommended to make saving things easier.
