A medium-range combat mechanoid with a powerful, sweeping beam graser attack. Their gamma ray laser is powerful enough to ignite its targets and can even pass through shields. This lets tesserons strike multiple foes from a safe distance, and breach shielded enemies. However, tesserons are unable to focus their laser at close range, making them susceptible to fast-moving melee opponents.
 
 
Dead tesserons may be shredded at the [[machining table]] or [[crafting spot]] for {{Icon Small|Steel||15}} [[steel]]. However, these values are affected by [[Mechanoid Shredding Efficiency|mechanoid shredding efficiency]], as well as missing parts on the tesseron.

Tesserons are similar to the [[lancer]] as a fast, ranged mechanoid. They move into range and continuously fire until interrupted, either by being engaged in melee or killed. They are most commonly found alongside later summons of the mechanoid commanders, but can also be found in [[ancient danger]]s and in high-[[wealth]] mechanoid [[raid]]s.

[[Firefoam pop pack]]s can be handy to extinguish and prevent fires. They have a moderately long range that can be taken advantage of with longer-ranged weaponry such as [[assault rifle]]s, and their low health scale makes them vulnerable to being picked off quickly.
