:I see I messed up with the syntax and when I finally got it right, wasn't patient enough. I would suggest however to set the dates automatically via [[Template:Version Nav]] and therefore for now remove it from all pages again. --[[User:Ickputzdirwech|Ickputzdirwech]] ([[User talk:Ickputzdirwech|talk]]) 12:48, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

:: I was literally writing the below when you posted. Got an edit conflict and everyhing.

:: "It looks like you've used <nowiki>{{#set: Release Date | 2022-10-31}}</nowiki> when you should be using <nowiki>{{#set: Release Date = 2022-10-31}}</nowiki> but also it can be slow to update properties. Once you push the change, you can use action=purge to try and trigger it to update the property."

:: Re the other part. I've edited while I've traveled for work, it is entirely possible some of the days are off due to International Date Line schenanigans and me failing to account for it. Its also possible that the date is only when its finalized for unstable, not when its pushed to stable. At the very least its fine to use the calculated number when no other release date is forthcoming. Up to you.

:: Personally I'd like to get rid of version nav (its such a hack job, and its not the most reliable) and replace it with something similar to [[User:WeirdMatter#Versions|WeirdMatter's concept]] but you could potentially implment both the manual date setting and if thats not there, the automatic calculation, into version nav to automatically format it at the top of the page. Sort of similar to [[Template: Stat]]. [[User:Harakoni|Harakoni (Wiki Moderator)]] ([[User talk:Harakoni|talk]]) 12:56, 2 November 2022 (UTC) P.S. we gotta get you to join the discord at some point. Theres actually discussion happening there thanks to Khitrir's reddit post drawing in new editors. Its kinda nice.

::: For now I implemented it automatically into [[Template:Version Nav]]. The date can be set manually with <nowiki>{{Version Nav|date=}}</nowiki>. [[Template:Version to date]] can be deleted again. I spent hours on that (bloody leap years) but I realised this can be done much simpler. --[[User:Ickputzdirwech|Ickputzdirwech]] ([[User talk:Ickputzdirwech|talk]]) 14:50, 2 November 2022 (UTC)

::::: Do you want to concert this template to your simple implementation rather than delete it? It might be simple  but if you had to take the time to figure it out, others that are less savvy might have not be able to figure it out at all. not sure how often it'll get used, but figure I'd ask before deleting it [[User:Harakoni|Harakoni (Wiki Moderator)]] ([[User talk:Harakoni|talk]]) 02:47, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
